Talk With a Stranger
Talk with a Stranger is an interactive installation by creative director Cristina Săvulescu that invites visitors to rediscover genuine human interaction by engaging in spontaneous phone conversations with strangers. Exploring the fluid boundary between fashion and art and prompting the audience to reconsider the role of clothing in shaping identity, the SEEN 11.0 collection will be exhibited within the environment.
Two strangers, projected onto digital screens, will engage in real-time conversations with the audience and will challenge them to relearn the art of direct conversation through the simple gesture of picking up the phone. This experience evokes a wide range of responses—from discomfort and surprise to excitement and deeper emotions.

Seen Users invites the audience to reflect on the profound transformations in communication within the digital era, examining the decline of interest in verbal dialogue and phone conversations, exacerbated by the omnipresence of text messaging. In an age dominated by social media, we are accustomed to addressing vast audiences, with unprecedented access to countless individuals. Yet, authentic personal connections, particularly with strangers, seem to have diminished significantly. This installation foregrounds the idea that clothing is more than mere apparel—it is a potent tool of expression, capable of crafting personalities and narratives. Through our choices in dressing and styling, we chart the course of the stories we construct and communicate.

For SEEN 11.0, Cristina Săvulescu deconstructs the fragments of her past, reassembling them with the present in a quest for symmetry between the weight of tradition and the inevitability of transformation. Heritage, displacement, and nostalgia serve as conceptual pillars in this collection. Classic silhouettes collide with contemporary forms, creating an aesthetic that blurs the line between what was and what is.
